Traditional Scottish Sgian Dubhs handmade to order in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland by John and Ross Rankin (father and son).  All the Sgian Dubhs we make are to the same high quality, using the finest Scottish Red Deer antler, locally sourced exotic woods, varieties of horn including buffalo and cow and finished off with very fine steel blades in either Stainless, Damascus or High Carbon Damascus. Each piece is completely unique as the materials are all natural leaving no two Sgian Duhbs we make the same, yet, they all have a similar feel and authenticity which leaves no mistake as to who made them!  Custom inlays in the coronet including coat of arms, coins or similar are possible as is custom engraving on the blade if required.  Prices are dependent on materials used, individual requirements and level of customisation.  Please get in touch to let us know what you require, this way we can confirm pricing and time scales before any commitment has been made by you.  We can also provide additional photos of previous commissions to show what can be done however we do always strive to make each Sgian Dubh more beautiful than the last!
